Learning & Teaching ENssentials: Active Learning

Learning & Teaching ENssentials: Active Learning Online

Dear colleagues,

You are invited to this Learning & Teaching ENssentials webinar on Active Learning, which will take place on Thursday 25th April 2024, 12-2pm BST. This webinar will be facilitated by DLTE's Dr Cameron Graham along with Dr Ellis Urquhart and Dr Gavin Urie from The Business School.

Active learning space is student-centred approach to learning which emphasises student discussion, collaboration and activity-based learning where students put their learning into practice through tasks and activities often working in groups.  Active Learning provides students opportunities to apply the skills and knowledge they are learning and gain practical understanding of the material they are learning, usually working with their peers in doing so.

In this webinar, Dr Cameron Graham, Dr Ellis Urquhart and Dr Gavin Urie will be sharing examples of active learning in practice and discussing how this can enhance student experience, along with what preparations or pitfalls to be aware of in order for Active Learning to run smoothly.

You can view Dr Ellis Urquhart's ENhance case study on Active Learning on the DLTE Intranet page.

If you need any support to participate in this webinar, please contact DLTE or leave information in the notes when registering for this webinar.

We look forward to seeing you,
