Learning & Teaching ENssentials: Scaling Authentic Assessment for Large Cohorts

Learning & Teaching ENssentials: Scaling Authentic Assessment for Large Cohorts Online

As Generative AI use increases, more attention is brought to the need for authentic assessment, to drive students to carry out higher order tasks which assess their learning in ways which reflect their experiences, ensuring that students' priority is to learning and personal development rather than recall of information, and reducing the likelihood of uncritical reliance on Generative AI.

Authentic Assessment can seem daunting to academic staff, as students may need more initial support in adjusting from more traditional formats of assessment such as Multiple Choice Questions or essays, and marking can be more varied. In this webinar, Dr Catherine Mahoney and Fiona Bastow will be guiding you on Scaling Authentic Assessment for large cohorts.
