Literature Searching for your dissertation or research project (SAS)

Literature Searching for your dissertation or research project (SAS) Online

This online session is designed to help students and researchers from the School of Applied Sciences prepare for a dissertation or research project.

By attending, you will develop advanced literature searching skills applicable to writing a dissertation or research project. We will go beyond the basics of finding journal articles and look at using Boolean operators and advanced search techniques to find academic literature in a systematic way. By the end of the session, you will be able to:

  • Build a search string using Boolean operators
  • Use truncation and wildcards
  • Use filters and exclusion criteria to narrow your search

Once you have registered, you will be sent a link and instructions of how to join this webinar online via Teams, so you must check your student email address for this link.
