Year 2 BN Nursing Journal Club - On Campus In-Person
Journal articles are an important academic source you need to include in your assignments and this journal club meeting aims to improve your confidence when reading and interacting with these sources. This meeting will discuss a quantitative research article, please read the article below and come prepared to discuss with the other students.
Please see the following discussion prompts you can use to prepare:
What are the aims and purpose of this study?
Why is this topic important/relevant?
What is the study design and how has data been collected?
What are the key results and findings of this study?
What are some of the strengths and weaknesses of the study?
What are the uses of this research and how can the findings be implemented and put into practice?
This workshop is only for Year 2 BN Nursing students, for other SHSC and SAS students please book onto one of the Understanding Scientific Journal Articles online workshops. If you are in a different school and need support with this source type please contact your Subject Librarian.
