Building Inclusive Reading Lists Online
How inclusive is your module reading list? This session encourages you to re-evaluate your module reading lists and introduces practical techniques and useful online resources which you can use to build more inclusive reading lists for your module. Dr Eva Malone from Applied Sciences will share reflections on her experience of diversifying and decolonising one of her module reading lists and the impact of the process on her practice and module delivery. The session will cover the techniques involved in an authorship audit to uncover opportunities to diversify readings and how to use online catalogues, academic databases, and other library resources to locate more inclusive and diverse sources. There will also be the opportunity to identify and discuss which catalogues and databases may be most appropriate for your module.
This session is part of the Digital Library Skills Programme, a rolling programme for academic staff.
