Cyber Security Awareness Session

Cyber Security Awareness Session

Craiglockhart 3/04

October is European Cyber Security Month – a 31-day EU awareness campaign that promotes cyber security for individuals and organisations, helping to raise awareness about the importance of information security and highlighting some simple steps that can be taken to protect data, whether personal, financial, or work-related.

The main goal for us here at Edinburgh Napier University is to not only raise awareness, but also to change behaviour and provide the tools and resources to help people protect themselves online.

The Information Security Team will be touring all three campuses, where they’ll discuss the importance of secure passwords, data storage and multi-factor authentication.

These talks are open to both staff and students, with plenty of time for any cyber security questions at the end.

You don’t need to register for the sessions, just come along to hear how you can protect the University - and yourself!
