Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Literature Searching - For staff Online
This workshop for staff looks at the rapidly changing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in literature searching.
We are aware of the ethical and environmental impacts, so there is a focus on critical thinking and evaluating your usage of AI for yourself.
Session overview:
- An introduction to how AI tools are being used in literature searching.
- Exploring the benefits and risks of using AI tools in your literature searching.
- Introducing the Birmingham University Self-Evaluation Framework for AI tools
- Practical demonstration of the Framework using real-world examples
- Time for discussion and questions.
This session will take place online using Microsoft Teams. You will be sent a joining link on registration and you will receive a reminder email the day before.
