Preparing to Write a Dissertation In-Person
Would you like to know more about how to prepare to write a dissertation? Do you wonder about where to start and how to manage the various stages of the work?
Join us for this session where we will introduce the key initial steps in preparing to write a dissertation. We will introduce topics including:
- Planning the project
- Topic selection
- Developing research questions
- Literature searching
- Note-making
- Dissertation structure
- Academic referencing
- Writing tips
This session is aimed at any student undertaking a dissertation and is delivered by Academic Skills Advisor Dr Linda Gunn and Subject Librarian Rob O'Brien.
Registration is required and the session will take place at Sighthill campus in room 3.D.08.
