Academic Publishing Guidance for SHSC Staff and Researchers In-Person
This online workshop will give advice and guidance for both book and journal publishing. It will cover information on library lending licenses for book publishing, giving advice on how to check if the library will be able to purchase copies of books you are publishing. It will cover guidance on how to find relevant journals to publish in and tools for exploring open access publishing options. It will also include information about the read and publish agreements we have with suppliers that cover APC charges for open access publishing for you. It will finally look at predatory/deceptive publishing, covering some hints and tips of how to spot and avoid these.
This workshop is suitable for any SHSC staff, researchers, or PG students who are looking to publish their work in either book or journal article format.
